Easy for Saphire Blue Star B and Yas FC

JEDDAH — Saphire Restaurant Blue Star B, one of the title contenders this year who believes in practice and fitness, ran over Bahi Burger Town Team Strikers 3-1 in the fourth week of the 18th SIFF-Eastea Champions League Football Tournament at the Ministry of Education Stadium here recently.
Dominating the match from the kickoff, Blue Star covered the field completely as its players maintained their positions nicely and did not allow a fighting Town Team Strikers to wrest the initiative at any stage of this Division A match.
Blue Star underlined its supremacy by going ahead in the first session through Mohammed Anas. It proved its prowess in the second session as Anas struck again and Sainul completed the tally. A dependable Abdul Raoof converted a penalty for the consolation goal for Town Team.
Town Team failed in the midfield as Blue Blue Star tactically killed their rivals’ moves in the middle itself and counter-attacked threateningly.
Mohammed Anas of Blue Star was adjudged as Al-Abeer Player of the Match.
In a one-sided B Division encounter, Yas FC Jeddah ruled the roost against Rose Biriyani Rice Jeddah FC with a convincing 4-1 victory, powered by a hat trick by Player of the Match Isahak Moidutty. Majid Chemba scored the fourth goal.
It was a must-win match for both the teams as they had dropped points in their respective first encounters.
The C Division match between Youth India FC and Creative Computers Blue Star Seniors ended in a goalless draw. Surprisingly, both the teams wasted penalties and a host of scoring chances. However, Youth India goalkeeper Imtiaz Ahmed won the Player of the Match award.
The C Division Under-17 match between Sporting United B and Talent Teens Football Academy also failed to produce a goal, ending the encounter in a barren draw.
