Sisi stresses Egypt’s ‘strategic relationship’ with Saudi Arabia

Cairo — Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday stressed the “strategic and discrete” nature of the Egyptian-Saudi relations.
Sisi was speaking during a meeting in Cairo with Saudi Minister of Civil Service Issam Bin Said, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmed Bin Abdul Aziz Kattan.
The Egyptian president also stressed his country's hopes to further develop cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Sisi said this would “strengthen their solidarity and promote joint Arab action, especially in light of the various challenges the region is facing.”
During the meeting, Saeed said that the two countries are keen to strengthen bilateral cooperation on all fronts.
He also said Saudi Arabia would continue intensive consultation and coordination with Egypt on various regional issues and ways to address challenges which Arab and Islamic nations are battling. — Al Arabiya English
