Festivities mark India’s R-Day reception

RIYADH — Indian Ambassador Ahmad Javed hosted the reception of 69th Republic Day at Tuwaiq Palace in Diplomatic Quarters where all the diplomats of the other countries and many Indians from the across the Kingdom attended.
Riyadh Emir Faisal Bin Bandar Al Saud was the Chief Guest at the Republic Day reception hosted by the Indian Embassy.
The event started with the singing of the national anthems of India and Saudi Arabia. The Indian Embassy staff made elaborate arrangements, while First Secretary Dr. Hifzur Rahman Azmi conducted the proceedings.
Ambassador, DCM, Counselors and Defense Attaché personally met all the guests and welcomed them.
Ambassador Javed welcomed the gathering and said that the relations between the two countries is becoming stronger. He thanked Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman for hosting a large population of the Indian community in Saudi Arabia and make them feel it is their second home.
They have contributed immensely for the development of Saudi Arabia, he added.
He thanked King Salman for according India the privilege of being the guest of honor for Janadriyah 2018.
The ambassador said our leadership in India and Embassy of India in Riyadh are honored to be part of this prestigious festival and thank the Saudi leadership for according this unprecedented privilege to our country.
