RIYADH — Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) has started a new tournament which is named as Prince Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Cricket Tournament. A total of 73 teams are participating in this championship. Teams are divided into four leagues as Al-Kharj, Huraymala, Hayer and Diriyah. In Al-Kharj League, 40-over matches will be played, while in Huraymala, Hayer and Diriyah Leagues it will be T20 matches. In Al-Kharj League, Fuchs Lions CC started their campaign on a winning note by beating Friends CC by 2 wickets. Friends CC, electing to bat, managed 304-9. Hashim scored 81 and Shahid 54. Saud picked up 2 wickets. Fuchs Lions CC got to the target in 36.2 overs, thanks to a wonderful innings by Muzaffar Majeed who scored an unbeaten 122 off 88 balls. Other major contributions came from Javed Aslam (62) and Obaidullah (52). Jabar claimed 4 wickets and Omar 2. Pak Shaheen defeated Riyadh Warriors Green by 30 runs in a high-scoring match.
