Saudi Gazette report DAMMAM — A video of a Saudi girl estranged in Indonesia for nine years after losing her Saudi father has gone viral. A Saudi tourist in Indonesia came across the 10-year-old girl Haifaa and documented her story on a video, Al-Hayat reported. Haifaa is the daughter of a Saudi father and an Indonesian mother. Her father died in a road accident in Indonesia nine years ago. The Saudi Embassy in Jakarta reacted to the video that was posted on social media and investigated the story behind Haifaa and her mother Muna. The mother said she was married to the Saudi man Sultan Al-Harbi who died nine years ago after a motorcyclist hit him. She raised Haifaa on her own in the Puncak region west of Java. The mother has been searching for her daughter’s Saudi family. She knows that they live somewhere in Madinah. The Saudi Ambassador in Indonesia Osama Al-Shuaibi said in a tweet that he has personally contacted Muna and her daughter Haifaa and that they will come to the embassy to find out more information about Haifaa’s father and to discuss Haifaa’s economic, social and academic status.
