RIYADH — Round 9 matches were played in Prince Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Cricket Tournament. All Round 8 matches were washed out due to heavy rain in Riyadh. This tournament is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).
In Al Kharj League 40-over Tournament, Riyadh Warriors Green got the better of Sama Steel by 34 runs. Electing to bat first, Riyadh Warriors Green posted 340/9. Nadeem Babar was unfortunate to be run out on 99. Nasir Abbasi added 68 and Iftikhar Ali 64. Rizwan picked up 3 wickets while Ramzan and Adnan took 2 wickets each. Sama Steel was restricted to 306. Raja Ejaz scored 58, Ramzan 45, Shoaib 42 and Kashif 40. Iftikhar Ali and Imtiaz Butt took 3 wickets each while Danish got 2 wickets.
In another match, Pak Shaheen thrashed Pakistan Falcons by 101 runs and qualified for the semifinals. Abdul Wahab blasted 203 off 80 balls and Abdul Waheed hit 154 runs. In the first semifinal, Pak Shaheen will play against Lahore Badshah while in the second semifinal Riyadh Warriors Green will meet FUCHS Lions CC.
In Hayer League T20 Tournament, Sinmar CC defeated Sterling and Wilson Challengers XI by 15 runs. Sinmar CC batting first scored 198/6. Ishtiak Ahmed hit 82 and Navas 48. Karthik picked up 2 wickets. Challengers XI managed 183/6. Ashik scored 57, Haroon 47 and Safdar 33. Sainal Abideen bagged 2 wickets.
Green Bangla thrashed Jinnah CC by 10 wickets. Jinnah CC was all out for 109. Muzammil added 21. Abu Musa picked up 4 wickets and Zakir 2. Green Bangla won the match in just 5.4 overs. Zahidul Islam hit 82 of 29 balls. — SG
