MADINAH — The SCC T20 Champions league kicked off in Madinah Al-Munawarrah last week. This tournament is sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center (SCC). My Care & Hala (MCH) defeated Madinah Warriors by 96 runs. MCH batted their opposition out of the game by posting 221/2 in their 20 overs courtesy Musawir, who scored 120 off 60 deliveries (2 sixes), followed by Asif’s 50. Madinah Warriors, in reply, kept losing regular wickets. Ayub scored 26 and Ashkal 26 stood out as Younis took 4 wickets. Sahiwaal beat Taiba XI by 7 wickets. Taiba XI were led by Tauseef Shah’s 57 and Ali’s 21 to reach a total of 178 runs. Arslan took 3 wickets. In reply, Sahiwaal’s Zahir hammered 63 runs and Arslan 60 runs as Sahiwaal won the match by 7 wickets. Akram took 2 wickets. Raawi CC defeated Madinah Eagle by 33 runs in a big-scoring match. Raawi cc blasted a massive 230/5 in their 20 overs courtesy Fahad, who scored 119 off just 52 deliveries (8 sixes) and Qaiser, who carved out a neat 44. Sadaqat & Nouman took 2 wickets each. In reply, Madinah Eagle were always behind in the chase. Sadaqat scored 63 and Abdulla 37 but these efforts weren't enough to avoid the defeat. Awali King beat Kashmir XI by 8 runs in a close encounter. Awali King totaled 192/7 runs with Saleem blazing away for 93 followed by Tariq’s sedate 36. Ghaffar and Asad took 3 wickets each. For Kashmir XI Mansour scored 61 and Afzal 24 but these efforts managed to bring them close. Tanvir and Qaiser took 3 wickets each. Pak United defeated U C C by 40 runs in another match. Pak United tallied a huge 217/9 in their 20 overs courtesy Farukh, who scored 51, and Bilal, who ended up with 44. Naeem picked up 2 wickets. For U C C Naeem scored 79 and Imran 31 but these efforts weren't enough to avoid the defeat. Bilal took 3 and Ajmal took 2 wickets. — SG
