RCA Western Union T20 tournament starts

RIYADH — The Western Union T20 Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Western Union, was inaugurated here at RCA Sports Complex in which Anwar Hussain Khan, South Asian community partner of Western Union, was the chief guest. RCA President/Chairman EC Saudi Cricket Center Tariq Javed, SVP RCA Abdulkareem Khan, GS RCA Nasir Abbasi along with other RCA Executive Committee members and members of RCA registered clubs attended. Sixty-five teams will participate in the Western Union T20 Tournament. These teams are divided in three leagues Al Kharj League (7 teams), Huraymala League (28 teams) and Hayer-Diriyah United League (30 teams). This tournament will be played on round robin/knock out basis. The winner and runners up trophies were also unveiled at the ceremony. The chief guest and other guests of honors also released pigeons on this occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Javed thanked Western Union for their support for the promotion of cricket. Khan of Western Union assured his full support to RCA for the development of cricket and appreciated RCA executive committee members for the successful inauguration ceremony. — SG
