JEDDAH — The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has invited contractors to bid for the operation of its program of working from a distance in all parts of the Kingdom, according to local daily Al-Madina on Monday.
The program was within the objectives and initiatives of the ministry's National Transformation Program and is aimed at employing about 50,000 men and women from a distance during the program's tenure of four years which will end in 2021.
According to the ministry, the execution of the program will begin from the time of authorization and the delivery of the site.
It said the duration of the program will include the weekly off days, the religious Eids and other official holidays.
The ministry said the execution company should perfectly accomplish all the required works and added that the distance work centers should be ready to extend their services.
It said the call center should also be ready and all the arrangements necessary for operation should be in place within 45 days of the date of placing the offer including the human cadres, the computer programs and the work sites.
The ministry said the contractor will bear the responsibility for any delay in the launching of the program.
It asked the contractors to supply it with detailed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports showing the level of performance.
The ministry said the call center to serve customers should have at least 10 employees to answer the queries of the job seekers and the employers.
With the support of the Human Resources Fund (Hadaf), the ministry started its distance work program in 2015 which has since then employed about 4,000 men and women.
The distance work could be done from home or from the work centers scattered all over the Kingdom.
