GILLETTE, Wyoming — Authorities say a disgruntled employee commandeered a locomotive from a northeast Wyoming coal mine and later plowed it into another train before he was apprehended. 

Police say the 22-year-old man faces preliminary charges that include reckless endangerment and felony destruction. 

The incident began before 9 a.m. Thursday at the North Antelope Rochelle Mine when the employee became upset with a supervisor over working conditions. 

The employee unhooked some cars from a train and drove the locomotive off the mine property and onto a main rail line.

The Gillette News Record reports that he took the train about 13 miles (21 kilometers) south before crashing into another train. No injuries were reported. The total cost of the damage was not immediately available. — AP
