SAUDI Arabia-based private aviation company NasJet, the leading private aviation operator and services provider, will be participating as a featured exhibitor in the World Travel Market (WTM), which will be held on Nov. 3-6, 2014 at the ExCel Exhibition Centre in London, UK.
Commenting on NasJet’s participation, Saad Al Azwari, CEO of NasJet, said: “The number of private jet movements across the world is steadily growing as travelers begin to appreciate the benefits of private travel. We have also noticed travelers are becoming much more discerning and want a higher level of personalization, something NasJet can do extremely well.
Therefore, our participation in the World Travel Market will give us a unique opportunity to show our peers in the global travel trade why NasJet is the largest and fastest growing business aviation company in the Middle East.”
NasJet manages and supports 67 aircraft with an insured value in excess of $2 billion. The NasJet core fleet is comprised of Airbus, BBJ, Gulfstream and Hawker aircraft.
With its own fleet of jets, which includes the largest fleet of Gulfstream aircraft in the Middle East, and more than 120 full time pilots, NasJet is currently the only private jet operator in the region able to provide a complete range of corporate aviation services and was the first private company in Saudi Arabia to be awarded an Aircraft Operating Certificate (AOC) by the General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA).
Turki Al Jawini, chief Commercial Officer at NasJet, added: “At the World Travel Market NasJet is representing the private jet market and we have committed to participating in order to support many of our luxury travel partners.”
He further said “the World Travel Market is the travel industry’s leading global event and as a Saudi-based company, we will proudly represent the kingdom’s leadership in the Middle East’s private aviation sector – and if any visitors from Saudi Arabia are in London at the time we will be happy to welcome them at the World Travel Market in the superb ExCel Exhibition Centre where we have a prominent exhibition stand number ME470.”
According to the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA), the regional business aviation sector will be worth an estimated $1.3 billion by the year 2020, while the total business jet fleet size in the Middle East is projected to grow from the current number of 551 to 1375 aircraft over the same period.
Out of the total number of registered business aircraft in the entire MENA region, almost half are registered in Saudi Arabia, which is considered to be the most promising market in the GCC with an annual growth rate of 7 percent. — SG
