BURAIDAH — A Saudi prison decorated the prison cell of one of its convicts this week in celebration of his wedding ceremony.



The prison, located in Buraidah, Qassim province, was adorned for the wedding of the Saudi inmate in his thirties.



To celebrate the event, prison management “used suitable decor to set the appropriate atmosphere for the event,” Saleh Al-Korzaii, a prison official said.



Korzaii also said prisoners can at times be allowed to leave jail to attend a wedding ceremony without restrictions, depending on the convict’s crime or pending trial. He said that Saudi prisons are keen on ensuring the health, security and comfort of the inmates. — Al-Arabiya
