The five-day event participated by more than 200 students from nine Indian schools from different regions of the Kingdom witnessed exciting and breathtaking competitions. Performing par excellence International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) bagged titles in all the three events. 


 


Mohammed Yousef Bin Mohammed Al-Braik Al-Dossary, President, Al-Sharq Co. for Polythrene, “Saud Cone” Co. for Petrolium Services and Anjad Plastic Advanced Manufacturing Co. and Member of Saudi Economic Council and Eastern Province Municipal Council, was the chief guest at the valedictory Session. He presented the rolling trophies to the winners and runners-up. Abdulla Manjeri, Chairman of the Managing Committee; Hussain Makbool, Supervisor from the Ministry of Education; K. M. Thirunavukarassu and Raju Kurien, Members of the Managing Committee; John Thomas, Member, Higher Board and senior school officials were also present to grace the occasion. 


 


Results:


 


Basketbal: Winner — IIS Jeddah; first runner-up — IIS Dammam; second runner-up — IIS Riyadh; best players — Raunak Khan of IISJ and Syed Taha Ahmed of IISD. 


 


Football: Winner — IISJ; second runner-up — IISD; second runner-up — IIPS Riyadh; best player — Furqan Mehdi of IISJ; top scorer — Saud Shaikh of IISD; best goalkeeper — Sameer hakeem of IISD. 


 


Volleyball: Winner — IISJ; first runner-up — IIS Jubail; second runner-up — IIS Dammam; best striker — Faizan Riaz of IISJ; best setter — Ahmed Zamiruddin of IISD.


 


IISD Principal Dr. E. K. Mohammed Shaffe appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee for the successful conduct of the meet. He thanked Nahda Club and Euro Village authorities for providing facilities and appreciated all the players and officials. Lt. Col. J. A. Rocque proposed the vote of thanks. Students from the Preparatory and Upper Primary Boys Sections presented colorful cultural shows to entertain the audience. — SG
