RIYADH —  Interaction of students with Dr. Abdul Salam Mohammed, former Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) scientist, was awe-inspiring.



Hundreds of selected students from various international schools here actively particpated in the program titled "Vision 2030: An Interaction with Tomorrow’s Leaders," organized by Jamia Markaz Alumni (JMA), Riyadh Chapter.



Mohammed, who was here to participate in the second annual Geo-Empower Middle East Summit, praised the creative and broad vision of the Indian school children about the future of India.



Currently, Mohammed is the CEO of Markaz Knowledge City and Advisor to Al Madina Development Project.



Answering the question that can a developed India be free from corruption, Mohammed said: "You are the Indian leaders of tomorrows, you can make a corruption free India once each one of you decide to lead a corruption free life."



He advised students to spend their valued time creatively with positive attitude, which can only make the world a better place to live.



Award for best question from girls and boys went to Raida Aysha of International Indian School and Mohammed Raqeeb of Al Yasmin International School and Afthar Alam of Seva School respectively.



Prices were presented by Dr. Shoukath Pervez, principal of Indian International Public School of Riyadh (IIPSR), Pious John of Aliya School, and Shareef Puthanpalli, president of (JMA).



Hyder Ali, chairman of IIPSR, inaugurated the function;  Niyaz Ommer introduced Dr. Abdul Salam to the audience.



K Rahmathulla, convener of CBSC Gulf Council-Saudi Chapter and principal of Al Yasmin International School felicitated Dr. Abdul Salam on behalf of (JMA).



Secretary of JMA delivered the welcome speech, and Abdul Gafoor Velimanna conveyed the vote of thanks. — SG
