BAHA — Road patrols arrested three individuals in the possession of weapons, amphetamine pills, liquor and cash. The head in charge of Baha road patrols Col. Sultan Obaid Al-Rasheed said a truck sped through a checkpoint without a license plate. Officers chased the vehicle and ordered it to stop but the driver did not. The truck crashed into the officers’ car and the driver fired his gun four times. The officers returned fire and managed to stop the vehicle. The driver tried to escape on foot but he was arrested. There were three individuals in the truck, one of whom was wanted in connection with a traffic accident. The officers found SR76,378 in cash and other illegal goods. The case has been forwarded to the local police for further investigations.
