HAIL – A farmer seeking to present a clean image of his camel had it washed at a car wash in the hope the animal could be sold for a higher price. The sight of the peaceful camel getting soaked by sprays of water in a car wash caught the passersby’s attention. The curious sight of the camel readily offering itself for a wash, squatting all the while as the workers liberally soaked it up in suds before delivering to the owner a clean camel, had many gawking. Onlookers stated that the camel looked happy and seemed to be having a whale of a time as the workers sprayed water all over its body before grooming it. The farmer paid SR50 for this service.
