DUBAI — You'd think Amr Diab or Myriam Fares would be the most-watched on YouTube, but nope, it's actually Egyptian singer Mohamed Hamaki who beats every other singer to the title. Hamaki's latest music video "Wiftakart" (I Thought) was watched over 20 million times on YouTube, officially making him the most-watched singer in the Arab world, according to Sayidaty.net.

His record-smashing hit was written by song poet Ayman Bahjat Qamar and composed by Tamer Ali. The single is part of his music album "Naweeha" (I Intend To), which was released back in 2008 under the production of "Sawt Al Delta."

Hamaki's last album was released this year under the title "Min Albi Baghanni (I Sing from My Heart)." — Albawaba
