JEDDAH — The “Moulana Hifzur Rehman Seoharvi Academy” organized a program to congratulate 12 new Muslim expatriate ladies who embraced Islam. A reception was held in their honor at Lasani restaurant recently, to welcome them as new sisters in Islam.
The ladies who came into the fold of Islam were, Fatma, Ayesha, Aasha, Yasmeen, Ayesha (Aeimy) Nareman, Fatima, Saira, Noor, and Mariyam Sami. Also, Mariya Attarji earlier known as Lisa Quiroga, was the special guest.
Mariya Attarji professionally a teacher accepted Islam a few years ago.
She shared her experiences of her journey from darkness towards light.
Mariyam Sami, a UK national, briefly described her life before Islam and how her life has changed for the better ever since she became a Muslim.
The program started with the recitation of some verses from the Qur’an by Sara Altaf, Arifa Iqbal, and Sumbul.
It was an emotional evening. Each new Muslim sister had an inspiring story to tell, with their own challenges and a happy ending. They shared with the gathering their journey towards Islam, and the difficulties and problems they faced.
