JEDDAH — Noted members of Pakistani Community living here expressed deep sorrow and grief on the sad demise of late King Abdullah, extending condolences to the members of the royal family and people of Saudi Arabia.



Former Federal Minister of Pakistan and minister-in-waiting during the visit of King Abdullah to Pakistan and an accomplished businessman in Jeddah Shahbaz Hussain Choudhry stated that the death of King Abdullah is not only a loss for the people of Saudi Arabia but also a great loss for the people of Pakistan and for the Muslim community around the world.



Choudhry said that during the visit of late King Abdullah to Pakistan, he had the good fortune to observe his personality very closely, finding him to be a great visionary man and the best of Pakistan's friend.



He had always supported Pakistan at international forums for which the people of Pakistan will always be grateful to him.



Other eminent members included president Dr. Abdul Aleem Khan, general secretary engineer Masoor Elahi, Engineering Welfare Forum (EWF); Wasim Shahid Bukhari, Pakistan Hajj Volunteers Group (PHVG); president and active chairman, Pakistan National Circle (PNC), Syed Ehsan-ul-Haq, convener, Pakistan Repatriation Council (PRC), Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman, president, Pakistan Welfare Society (PWS), Ishtiaq Aziz Hashmi, head of Department, Saudi Services for Electro-Mechanical Works Co. (SSEM), Neaz Ahmed;  chairman, Pakistan Writer Forum (PWF), Syed Qasim Ali Naqvi, Adviser, Saudi Cricket  Center (SCC), Mohammed Iqbal Choudhry, President, Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) also paid rich tribute to the late King and congratulated King Salman on becoming the King and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Muqrin on becoming the Crown Prince and Prince Mohammad Bin Naif on becoming the Deputy Crown Prince.



Choudhry said that he is in no doubt that Saudi Arabia and the Muslim world will strengthen, prosper and unite under the new leadership.
