Alcohol bootlegger arrested in Baha

Police arrested an African national for making and selling the liquor Arak in a valley in the Al-Mandaq governorate.

BAHA — Police arrested an African national for making and selling the liquor Arak in a valley in the Al-Mandaq governorate. Baha Police spokesman Col. Saad Tirad said they received an anonymous tip about the man making alcohol. Police surrounded him and he discarded 20 liters of alcohol before trying to escape, injuring an officer in the process. The police had to shoot him down and the man was transported to a hospital for treatment before his trial.
