RIYADH — The Embassy of Japan recently participated in the 7th Annual International Day event organized by King Faisal School as a part of a yearlong celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Kingdom.

 

The embassy’s culture and education section exhibited Japanese traditional and modern culture at the event, working together with the school’s students to welcome many guests at a Japan booth that had been set up for the event.

 

Japanese calligraphy (shodo) and Japanese paper work (origami) demonstrated by the embassy attracted many visitors.

 

The booth also displayed Japanese pop-culture such as manga and anime that have been widely popular among young Saudis.

 

Furthermore, a variety of Japanese sushi was served for guests.

 

This International Day gave students and guests a chance to learn the traditions and culture of Japan while enjoying entertainment.
