“Danger flow” held a live performance of their signature fusion of hip-hop, rock and danceable rhythms at the US Consulate General in Jeddah last week.

Jeddah was the band’s first stop during their Saudi Arabian tour, before they travel to Riyadh and Dhahran to perform similar concerts.

The group uses performances and educational workshops to support social causes and empower communities. They have collaborated with community-based organizations, government agencies and public schools to conduct workshops and classes to raise awareness about social issues that youth face today.

The workshops also cover the history of hip-hop and its social impact within the United States and internationally.

The band facilitates audience participation through the development of rhythm, lyrics and basic concepts used in hip-hop.

“The group is here to give us insight into what’s happening in the youth music sense. They have been featured in Miami heat, MTV and ESPN,” US Consul General Todd Holmstrom said.

“Danger flow is not only an excellent example of American musical creativity, but also for American passion for community service.

The members of the band all collaborate with various organizations to conduct workshops to raise awareness about social issues that confront today’s youth.

Tonight we’ll hear a blending of rhythm-and blues, hip-hop and even some Latin American flavors,” he added.

The live performance included artists from Jeddah Comedy club. Three members from the  ‘band’ Angel Ocean, Eric Stinnett, and Kevin Callo performed on Monday, last week.

Angel “Ocean” Alvarado has been involved in music since childhood. As a recording artist, Angel has several music placements including ESPN and MTV.

Eric Stinnett is a soulful R &B singer- songwriter from Dallas Texas. He honed his early musical gifts singing in his church choir and playing trombone in several jazz groups and ensembles at the high school and collegiate level.

He has travelled extensively throughout the United States and abroad performing with various ensembles.

Kevin Callo is a Miami-based professional guitarist and trumpet player. He started playing in numerous school bands at a young age.

Kevin devotes his musical skills to social causes and collaborates with numerous nonprofit organizations, public schools and governmental agencies.

“It’s a joyful experience to perform here; we had an amazing experience of hospitality and ‎‎a wonderful time spend with Saudi audiences.

It was very special to interact with them. They are broad-minded. We want to come again,” Angel said.

In 2009, Dangerflow established a partnership with the Miami Heat developing promotional videos and performing at Miami Heat games, including the NBA Finals.

Danger flow’s debut album, Win Lose or Die, released in 2011, featured popular singles that were featured on several networks including MTV and ESPN as well as at the Monster Energy/X Games, NBA Finals, and Australian Open Tennis Championship.
