JEDDAH — Attracting more than 65 Saudi, regional and international companies from diverse fields, the University of Business and Technology (UBT) opens its three-day 9th Career Fair today at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel.
Many interested organizations and companies supporting education and training both from the public and private sectors are participating.
Dr. Hussein Mohamed Ali Al-Alawi, managing director of UBT, is optimistic that the 9th edition of the fair would follow in the similar footsteps of the earlier eight years.
“After the great success and achievements of its goals through the last eight editions, I hope this year’s fair will go further and achieve all the objectives aiming to advance human resources to meet the requirements of economic and social development in the Kingdom in general and Makkah region in particular,” Dr. Al-Alawi said.
Dr. Al-Alawi added that the “fair also eyes to provide personal and career guidance to high school, university and vocational institutes students.
Moreover, companies and institutions of different sectors would offer employment opportunities in a pavilion dedicated to this purpose.”
On exhibiting companies and institutions, Al-Alawi said: "The fair has more than 50 pavilions and has drawn 65 Saudi and regional companies and institutions from economic, financial, industrial, services, vocational, and educational sectors.”
“Government institutions include engineering and oil and gas companies in addition to some retailers. The fair is a valuable occasion for institutions and training departments to meet students and staff who aspire for the best career opportunities,” he said.
