HAIL — A 10-year-old girl died after being physically assaulted by a maid working at the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center in Hail, Al-Riyadh daily reported.

Hail Social Affairs Director and official spokesman Salim Al-Sabhan said managers at the center said the victim, Hasnaa, told them that her hip bones were hurting her. “They immediately took her to King Khalid Hospital and the x-rays showed her hip bones were fractured.

The managers suspected the maid assigned to take care of the victim had physically assaulted her. When questioned, the maid denied all allegations claiming the girl had always had problems with her hips,” said Al-Sahban. He added the managers looked into surveillance camera footage and saw the maid assaulting Hasnaa. “The girl passed away at the hospital while undergoing treatment. I pay my deep condolences to her family and we are waiting for the medical report to know the cause of death, whether it was a natural or due to the abuse she endured,” said Al-Sabhan.
