2 arrested for stealing from Riyadh warehouse

Two Yemeni expatriates in their 20s were caught red-handed by police as they were stealing medical supplies from a warehouse in the capital’s Al-Farouq District.

RIYADH — Two Yemeni expatriates in their 20s were caught red-handed by police as they were stealing medical supplies from a warehouse in the capital’s Al-Farouq District.



Police received a tip-off from an expatriate on two men robbing a medical supplies warehouse.



Officers arrived at the location and spotted the two men as they were loading stolen medical supplies onto their vehicle which had its number plate blurred.



The suspects fled on foot when they saw the approaching police cars but police gave pursuit and eventually arrested the duo.



Officers at the scene of the crime reported the men were drunk and that all of the stolen items were retrieved.



The suspects were taken to the police station for detailed questioning and their case has been forwarded to the pertinent authorities for judicial adjudication.
