JEDDAH — The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has withdrawn all easyvision daily umere contact lens products because the sizes were labeled incorrectly.

A source from the authority said users of the products were requested to dispose of them.

“Contact lenses have entered the general consumer market and consumers must be highly aware of all products they buy.

“Many girls and women are buying contacts as accessories and not for medical reasons.

“They must know that even regular non-prescribed lenses must be sanitary and appropriate for their eyes.”

The source added the authority’s decision was restricted to easyvision daily umere lenses only.
