MAKKAH — The municipality seized over 10,000 containers of fake Zamzam water from a small unlicensed factory outside the holy city.



The local authority received a tip-off about the illegal activities at the factory and sent inspectors to investigate.



They discovered the containers of the fake holy water that had been packaged and ready for distribution.



The packaging had forged labels on it in an attempt to pass the goods off as genuine. The illegal goods were seized and all workers inside the premises were taken in for investigation.
