TAIPEI — Our lives continuously change due to technology development. Taiwanese government who realizes this fact kept exhibiting shows to support smart technology for 35 years through Computex Information and Communication Technology (ICT) trade show held every June where the PC industry descends on Taipei to show off its latest wares. The Computex trade show is a great place to see some awesome new gadgets and spot computing trends.
This year it was held on May 31 until June 6. The show was billed as the largest one in Asia when it comes to ICT and the second largest show in the world after Las Vegas.
Around 1,702 exhibitors and 5,072 booths took part in the show whose theme for this year was the big ICT issues, particularly Internet of Things (IoT), mobile applications and Cloud tech & services.
By 2020, more than US$1.9 trillion will be spent on 25 billion IoT devices. More than 130,000 visitors had attended the event, 38,000 of them from abroad. Companies showcased their products along with the needed information.
