HARRISON — The PGA of America and LPGA announced Saturday that Sahalee Country Club near Seattle will host the 2016 Women’s PGA Championship. Sahalee has played host to the 1998 PGA Championship and the 2010 US Senior Open. The only other US women’s major championship to be contested in Washington state was the inaugural US Women’s Open in 1946 in Spokane. Next year’s edition of the WPGA Championship will be held June 9-12. — AFP
