JEDDAH — The head of Jeddah Health Affairs has called on all medical staff working in health monitoring centers at King Abdulaziz International Airport to implement health regulations and monitoring restrictions at airport terminals.
Mubarak Al-Asiri also called on monitoring centers to ensure no epidemic diseases pass through the Kingdom’s borders.
He noted staff are working hard to protect residents of Jeddah from any possible viruses such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus.
He added that they have provided monitoring centers at the airport with needed medical equipment, medication and staff.
The needs of these centers, he said, are being given priority with summer and Ramadan approaching. Another threat is coronavirus, which has resulted in a number of deaths, he said.
Abdul Ghani Al-Malki, head of the monitoring centers at King Abdulaziz International Airport, said their primary role is to prevent the transfer of epidemics from and into the airport.
