Unified school uniform for girls

All public girls schools would have a unified uniform starting next academic year 2015-16, the Ministry of Education announced on Monday.

RIYADH — All public girls schools would have a unified uniform starting next academic year 2015-16, the Ministry of Education announced on Monday. The ministry reported each school level would have a different uniform. Primary school students will wear a long-sleeved white blouse and a long rose sleeveless dress over it.




Junior high students will wear a long dark green skirt and a long-sleeved white blouse. High school students will wear a long navy blue skirt and a long-sleeved white blouse. The uniforms will conform to Islamic dress code and the fabric will not be transparent. The ministry also said the uniform will be applied to all public schools with no exceptions, Qur’an memorization schools and schools for illiterate women.
