JEDDAH — British Consul General in Jeddah Mohammed Shokat visited the "Ramdanana Kida” festival in downtown Jeddah, recently. He toured different pavilions, watched their various exhibits displaying the heritage and culture of Hijaz, and expressed his admiration of the festival in the Al-Balad area.



The envoy was briefed by Abdullah Al-Dawi, head of the festival's executive committee, who expressed deep appreciation for his patronage and presence at the event.



After being received along with his family, the consul general toured the district area of the festival, exploring various sections and pavilions.



Shokat said it was an amazing experience to witness the heritage of the Hijazi region. He also praised the organization headed by Prince Mishal Bin Majed, governor of Jeddah, and the warm hospitality extended to him.



The consul general noted: “Jeddah is a city rich in its unique cultural heritage and traditions. It is an honor to visit with my family and to meet the many Jeddah residents and expatriates participating in the festival to celebrate the cultural heritage, identity and traditions of Hijaz.



"The festival has been very successful, and it is been admired by the public, especially people from Britain."
