Many Muslims prefer to  travel during Eid and this year the summer holidays too fit in with the Eid holidays. Many opted to spend Eid at home before venturing out to spend their holidays.

 

Because of the increase in the ticket prices during Eid, many people prefer this year to look for a budget holiday soon after the Eid festival. 

 

Saudi Gazette is providing its readers with the five cheapest countries that could be visited during and after Eid. 

 

 

Algeria is one of the beautiful African countries that  have a rich heritage. Buying goods and using the country’s services such as, public transportation is considered cheap since the gas cost only around 1.9 us dollars per gallon. Yet, the only expensive thing that the tourist may pay for is the hotel if he/she was looking for a five star hotel for a person could end up paying per night in a high class hotel around $186 per day. 

 

 

Going to Asia. We suggest Sri Lanka to be your choice. Sri Lanka is not only cheap in food, hotels, and entertainment, but also it abounds with activity choices. Tourists can discover the nature that is mixed with culture in this island. Tourists can surf, see elephants, and visit several incredible places.

 

Vietnam. 

 

This country is not only cheap but also beautiful. You can save a lot of money because you only spend £5 a day for a guesthouse, local food, and  transport. In Vietnam you will have a new experience, especially when it comes to rural life. You will enjoy also the flower farms, local tofu factories, cashew nut plantations, and the iconic rice terraces. 

 

Budapest.

 

If you are a person who prefers to travel to the European part of the world, Budapest would be a good choice, though in comparison it is not that safe like Germany for example. Food is cheap and you will enjoy its spas. Normal meals could cost around £2, train tickets for £1 and rooms for £10. Budapest has a beautiful and unique nature where a person can refresh his/her health and mood. 

 

Pokhara.

 

Pokhara in Nepal could be another good choice to spend the Eid vacation.  Luckily Eid this year is during July since hotels in this city could be a bit pricy during April, May, October, and November. However, if you book before time, it will still be cheap. Food and visiting places are also cheap. For example, if you took a taxi from airport to city center, it may cost you around $3. Budget breakfast could cost only $1.75, while budget dinner may cost around $4.87, sometimes even less than that.
