Historic mosque in Umluj being renovated

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) began renovating Abu Gabal Mosque in Umluj, a historical area of Tabuk Province.

UMLUJ — The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) began renovating Abu Gabal Mosque in Umluj, a historical area of Tabuk Province.

 

 

The renovation of the mosque is being carried out preserving the building's traditional architecture.

 

The mosque was built with mud and stones extracted from the sea and mountains surrounding the region.

 

Based on the mosque's traditional style, the design of its roofs, windows and doors are being crafted to reflect the region's architectural style.
