This is in response to the report “Outrage on social media as video shows Saudi battering expat worker,” in Saudi Gazette (Aug. 17). It seems that some Saudi men have anger management issue, due to stressful personal, financial and social life. The physical and verbal abuse and harassment from Saudi men seems to be on the rise, a recent video clip of Saudi men hitting young African women in Makkah, now the battering of an male expat worker, Saudi man fighting with Egyptian or Yemeni men, and there have been cases of harassment of Saudi women.

Do not generalize Saudi men

Mr. Avid1111, you are generalizing Saudi men and I implore you to desist from doing so. If you let me know which Asian country you are from, I am sure I could generalize you without even getting to know you. In this case of my compatriot physically assaulting a guest of my country, I have faith in the judiciary will punish the one who is responsible. In any case, hitting someone is not an answer.
