RIYADH — The Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS), the key educational partner behind “Iftah Ya Simsim,” the fun learning initiative, announced that the Arab world’s creative pioneering television series that targets the educational needs of children aged 4 to 6, is set to be unveiled across the region.
The launch is scheduled to take place during an official ceremony in Abu Dhabi. “Iftah Ya Simsim,” is an Arabic adaptation of “Sesame Street,” and was produced by Bidaya Media, the children’s education content development company based in Abu Dhabi.
The official launch for the 1st episode of “Iftah Ya Simsim” will be at the Hakiya Festival in Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center on Sept. 4.
Media representative for “Iftah Ya Simsim” in Saudi Arabia, Firas Adel Maddah, said that meet-and-greet activities and educational events will be held in various shopping centers across the Kingdom, to allow children to meet their favorite characters.
The activities will also include a live theater edutainment show that will take place in January, in all major cities across GCC States. – SG
