For the ninth consecutive year, Etihad Etisalat “Mobily” is providing wireless internet services through Wifi technology free of charge for all pilgrims as the company expands it Wifi network coverage in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifa to reach over 1,500 locations.

People can access Wifi services at Meshaer through searching for the Mobily network on smartphones, tablets and laptops and then accessing it. They should then open the Internet browser which leads directly to the service page where they are able to register freely, knowing that it will require their mobile phone number entered with the international dialing code (966********). After registering, an SMS will be sent to the user with the password ensuring privacy.

Commenting on this, Mezyad Bin Nasser Al Harbi, chief technology officer at Mobily, said: “Mobily seeks to provide Internet services through Wifi technology free of charge to reinforce the positive image of the Kingdom to all pilgrims. This service contributes in enabling pilgrims, and those who serve them, such as government and private entities and media, to enjoy Internet services in Meshaer, finish work and send their impressions second by second.”

It is worth mentioning that all Mobily branches in the central area around the Holy Mosque and King Abdullah International Airport work with full capacity around the clock to provide a full range of services for pilgrims from issuing pre- and post-paid sim cards, as well as Phone Credit vouchers and ‘Connect’ services to access the Internet as part of Mobily’s exceptional preparation for this year’s Haj season. — SG
