JEDDAH — Mohammed Abdul Jabbar, president of Telangana NRIs Forum (TNRF), appealed to all Indian community welfare organizations to come forward and work together for the benefit of the guests of Allah, by providing the best services to the pilgrims.

He was addressing a reception at Shadab restaurant Aziziyah on Friday. The event was organized by TNRF in honor of volunteers who turned in outstanding services during the 2015 Haj season.

Several prominent community members of the Indian community, volunteers and participants were among the attendees.

Jabbar said TNRF is Jeddah-based nonpolitical nonprofitable organization. It was formed in 2014 for welfare activities of NRIs (Non Indian Residents) who had to send back their wards to Telangana state for their educations.

They conducted career guidance program, gathered donations for marriage contributions, and sponsorship of children etc.

During this year’s Haj, 80 volunteers participated and they were of different languages including Hindi, Telugu, Arabic, Urdu and English.

They provided services especially in the hospitals to the pilgrims, who were injured during the stampede in Mina. They largely took part in the blood donation campaign, Jabbar said.

He thanked the Kerala Muslims Cultural Committee (KMCC) for its cooperation and appreciated the exceptional services of Haj volunteers.

He also thanked the dedication of TNRF President Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Vice President Mastan Vali, General Secretary Wajid Samdani, Coordinator Abdul Kafil Baig and Joint Secretary Zeeshan Ali.

Chief Guest Khwaja Viqar Uddin, president Twin City, praised the services of volunteers and participants. He assured TNRF his support and announced the provision of 30 wheelchairs for the pilgrims during upcoming Haj.

Mohammed Nizamuddin, trustee Karim Nagar district, also assured to sponsor 20 wheelchairs for the guests of Allah. Shamim Kauser, chief patron Khak-e-Taiba (KTT), Dr. Aleem Khan Falki, President Community Social Reforms, Mohammed Suleiman, Dawa Center and Hassan Bayazeed, senior member of Bazm-e-Ittehad Jeddah (BIJ), also addressed the gathering and praised TNRF volunteers’ services. They also appealed to the community to strengthen the organization.

Earlier the function began with the recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Moulana Noor Mohammed Naqshbandi of Jamia Nizamia followed by a Naat by famous Naat singer Mohammed Ameenuddin.

Certificates were distributed to the volunteers and participants. Mementos were presented to Khwaja Viqar Uddin, Aleem Khan Falki, Shoib TP, CEO Al-Rayan, and Shakir, executive member of KMCC, for their valuable contributions. Moulana Naveed, in conclusion, made supplications for whole Muslim Ummah.
