JEDDAH — A new diploma for those wanting to specialize in sterilization is to be offered by the Jeddah Community College (JCC) as part of the college’s mandate to accommodate the needs of the job market in the health sector.
According to the college, the program caters to students who are looking to become sterilization technicians and aiming to work in the central sterile processing departments of hospitals, dentists' offices or other healthcare facilities.
The college’s dean, Ahmed Bin Saleh Al-Wahab, said the program was designed in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and reviewed by distinguished French experts.
"Our college is very proud of its reputation for excellence and record in providing an outstanding student experience,” he said. “Relationships such as that with the Ministry of Health enable us to extend our teaching networks and enrich the education of our students even further.”
Al-Wahab said the JCC is looking to offer high-quality courses that accommodate the needs of the public and private labor market.
The two and a half year program will be taught in English, offered free of charge, with an interview prerequisite for those wishing to join the program.
The JCC, affiliated to King Abdulaziz University (KAU), was established in 2003 by a ministerial decree and is located in Al-Rehab district of Jeddah.
