JEDDAH — Jameel Al-Diyabi has been appointed editor-in-chief of Okaz newspaper. Al-Diyabi assumed charge at the newspaper’s headquarters here on Monday following the approval of his appointment by Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel Al-Turaifi.
Al-Diyabi, who replaces Muhammad Al-Fal, is a seasoned journalist who earlier served as editor-in-chief of Al-Hayat and Al-Khaleej newspapers. Al-Diyabi, a young and dynamic newsman, is well-known as a political commentator on various Arab news channels. He has also attended several international conferences and forums.
