It seems the world can’t get enough of sports. After an action-packed, thrilling Olympics, the world is now witnessing an awe-inspiring paralympics. And, what’s next? For the first time in the history of sports, one of a kind three-day “Baby Summer Olympics” was organized by Modoud at the Red Sea Mall in Jeddah recently.

The “Baby Summer Olympics” had four main competitions: crawling, walking, running and tricycling. The participants aged between 8 months to 4 years enthusiastically participated, as proud parents gleefully watched their babies compete in a series of events.

In the 50-cm crawling event, the baby olympians aged between 8–18 months competed against each other to reach the finishing line. Similarly, toddlers who fell in the age group of 18 months to 2 years competed in the 70-cm walking event. While those who were aged between 3 - 4 years competed in the running and tricycling event.

Sulaiman Ezayah, event manager of the program, said: “We are always doing our best to serve our community, kids, parents and our country. Baby Olympics was the perfect way to show everyone the importance of sports.”

And just like the winners in the Olympics, baby olympians too were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

The program was sponsored by MixFM and Red Sea Mall.
