JEDDAH – “Muslim Ummah as well as the humanity seeks peace. Peace can be achieved by the unity. Love of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him is binding force for Ummah and humanity,” said Abdul Rauf, in a meeting organized by Majlis-e-Ilm-o-Adab, Jeddah recently.
“If we want global peace, we should teach our children regarding the ideal life of our Beloved Prophet, peace be upon him. This will make them good citizens of the world,” said Khaja Syed Najmuddin, another speaker at the event.
For the need of seerah writings, Muhammad Mujahid Syed quoted Allama Shibli Nu’mani: “None can deny that the life history of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is an imperative need not only for the Muslims but for humanity at large. It’s a necessity, that’s not only religious or Islamic, but also literary, moral and cultural. In short, it is a necessity that meets our interests both in this world and in the Hereafter.”
Majlis-e-Ilm-o-Adab, Jeddah is one of the oldest social and educational organization organized the meeting. The meeting was attended by a large number of audience. Everyone was spell bound by the love-laced Naat’s of Muhammad Jamil Khan, a Pakistani Naat singer. Few examples of his Naats:
Main janta hoon unhen darguzar ki aadat hai
Wo bakhsh denge mujhe bhi kisi saza ke baghair
Main sochta hoon ke Azam shabe taweele hayat
Kategi kaise kisi dard aashna ke bahgair
Azmat ho bayan kaise Darbare Risalat ki
Jibreel bhi aate hain is dar pe ghulamanah
Duniya ke wali humne uun dar pe khade dekhe
Honton pe hain fariyaden aur haal faqiranah
The program began with the recitation of a few verses of the Holy Qur’an by Syed Muhammad. Faisal Shaikh was master of the ceremony. The vote of thanks was proposed by Syed Faizan Ahmad. Supplication was offered by Qari Mujeeb.
