THE January edition of Wings of Oman — Oman Air’s award-winning inflight magazine, launches two very special lead travel features — both set to inspire readers to make their 2016 a year of memorable travel and dream vacations.
The first is a ‘10 Top Travel Destinations for 2016’ feature, and includes a selection of top-class travel destinations to visit in South-East Asia, Europe, South Asia, and East Africa during the coming months.
The second travel features looks at the Sultanate of Oman’s much-loved cultural celebration — the Muscat Festival — which runs from mid-January until mid-February this year.
Oman Air has been supporting this cultural extravaganza since the time of its inception. The colorful array of events at various venues spread across the capital, showcases the Sultanate’s history, culture and vibrant amalgamation of the old world charm and the modern world.
The ‘Must See: Oman’ section profiles Al Alam Palace — the exquisite ceremonial palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, which is one of the most-visited tourism attractions in Muscat.
The magazine also has a feature on Jordan’s ancient city of Petra; a profile on the three adventurers who are currently travelling by foot across the famous Rub Al Khali ‘Empty Quarter’ desert; and a feature on Oman’s recent Young Emerging Artist Prize winners. Another exotic destination that is featured in this edition is the tropical island, Maldives, which offers an unforgettable marine adventure experience for families and kids.
