JEDDAH — Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah region, has approved a plan to build a walkway for the visually impaired, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The approval was announced in a meeting between Prince Khaled and members of Ibsar Charitable Organization.

The members, Ahmad Al-Hamdan, Aisha Nato and Haitham Al-Sabeel, proposed the project to give the visually impaired equal opportunities and rights in society.

The 2,000-meter-long walkways, which will be built in Makkah, Jeddah and Taif, will serve at least 1,200 visually impaired people.
