RIYADH — More than 55 volunteers from AbbVie, the global research-based biopharmaceutical company with extensive operations in Saudi Arabia, took part in the company’s recently held corporate responsibility program “Week of Possibilities” and got together to restructure the exercise area of the Child’s Ability Center in Riyadh.

“As a biopharmaceutical company, patients are at the center of everything we do,” said Rami Fayed, General Manager of AbbVie. “That doesn’t limit us to only finding cures, but to have a remarkable impact on peoples’ lives. The ‘Week of Possibilities’ emphasizes AbbVie’s responsibility towards the society. Enhancing the exercising area at Child’s Ability Center will certainly bring out the strong potentials of the children with disabilities and facilitate integrating them into society.”

“We are very thankful that AbbVie chose us for their initiative,” said Dr. Saadi Abdullah Al Zahrani, Director of the Child Ability Center. “The exercising area is very important for enriching the child’s psychological, physical, and mental development and this is especially true for special needs children. The exercising area is a very important part of what we do.”

AbbVie, a global, research-based biopharmaceutical company, has been present in Saudi Arabia for around 56 years. The company combines the focus and passion of a leading-edge biotech with the expertise and structure of a long-established pharmaceutical leader. Its priority is helping its patients to lead healthier lives.
