JEDDAH — King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) in Dammam is full of color with the arrival of the third round of "Connected: Art in Airports" that runs until Feb. 1.

This time the theme is "Social Fabrics" and uses pieces of fabric to describe the links that connect people, society and the environment.

The general manager of KFIA said they had received positive feedback from travelers about the selection of artworks and said they were excited to have artworks in the airport.

He added that nine art pieces are presented to travelers in the exhibition.
Saudi artists showcased in the exhibition include Ahmed Mater and Taha Al-Sabban.

Art Jameel Manager Dalya Mousa said the exhibition was "very strong" with a torn selection of artists.

The idea of showcasing art in the Kingdom's airports is to raise public awareness of art and to promote local artists and show the Saudi art scene to travelers.

The catalogs or the exhibition, which is organized by Art Jameel in collaboration with the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Saudi Fine Arts Association, are presented in the form of green passports.

The first round of "Connected: Art in Airports" took place in King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah in 2014.
