JEDDAH — The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) has banned tourist trips to military zones or border posts.

The commission communicated the decision to all tourism organizers and told them photography in these areas is strictly forbidden.

"Visits to these areas should only be organized on special permission," the commission said.

The SCTH also warned tourism offices against dealing with unlicensed tourist guides.

The commission warned tourism offices against receiving money from customers during marketing events as a guarantee that they would attend the occasion.

It also asked them to implement the decision of the Council of Ministers, which makes it imperative to make "group cooperative insurance" for tourists when they are taken to crowded places or high-risk areas.
The commission asked the offices to supply tourists with correct data and to treat them nicely according to the traditions of Saudi hospitality.
