Foodies in the Kingdom can now enjoy an exclusive Turkish steakhouse in Jeddah. Opened in November last year, Sultan’s Steakhouse is located in Al Rawdah Street. With the tag line “Let us MEAT you!” the steakhouse brings an exceptional Turkish ambience and distinctive cuisine.

“Before opening our restaurant we visited other restaurants in Jeddah where we found the ambience to be good but food not delicious or the ambience bad but food tasty. We wanted to bring a change by making both the ambience and food perfect. The customers have to say ‘wow’ when they first enter our Steakhouse. And I think we have succeeded because sometimes when I get into the reception and take a look at the customers’ face, their first impression is like magic,” Ersoy Deniz Er, the Co–owner of Sultan’s Steakhouse told Saudi Gazette.

With solid oak tables, exposed filament light bulbs and Tom Dixon lamps hanging elegantly, and the waiters dressed traditionally, the interior of the steakhouse has a rustic yet modern feel. On the other hand, the café and shisha outside the steakhouse fills the exterior’s beauty.  “We wanted to create an atmosphere of Istanbul so we brought all interiors from the KRN interior in Turkey. Our well educated kitchen staff is also from Turkey,” added Ersoy.

The food is paid equal attention to as is the décor.  “While visiting other steakhouses in Jeddah, we saw their menus and figured out the items preferred by the customers in Jeddah. We also tried their steaks, and found that some dishes in meat are missing. So our team decided to put in some of the best and unique Turkish delicacies into our menu here. Also we offer our customers, a special meat grilling style — flame grilling, a live show which is done and guided by our Executive Chef Hayri Yozbatiran, from Gaziantep who has a work experience of 23 years in kitchen at a Turkish restaurant,” he added.

Some of the special items in the menu include Sultan’s Salad, Sultan’s Meatball with Cheese, Sultan’s Lokum Burger, Sultan’s Kafes(lamb), Shashlik(beef), Gaziantep Baklava and Sultan’s Katmer(desserts). Apart from these items, the Large Porterhouse Steak (900gr) is one of the dry aged cut specialties. “The steaks are kept for about one month in the fridge here which are marinated naturally using the salt marinating strategy.”

Indeed, Sultan’s Steakhouse is worth visiting and having a lifetime experience of Turkish culture at this restaurant is worth mentioning. “We love Saudi Arabia and we saw that people here love spending a whole day going to good places and having good food. Many of them said they want to visit Istanbul because they love our city and our food. Thus we made a decision to make an investment here. Now I’m glad that we are working here under Lina Helmi Turki, our sponsor and owner of this place and we are really happy. This is our first branch in the Kingdom. The second one is coming soon in Riyadh. Also we are planning to open our hamburger, donut house and kebab house in Jeddah quiet soon,” Ersoy added.
