JEDDAH – The Executive Court has ordered a Saudi citizen in Jeddah to return his child, who resides with him in the US, back to his mother after Personal Affairs Court in Jeddah ruled in favor of the mother's custody. This comes in line with the implementation of the penalties set forth in Article 92 of the bylaws.

The mother, who is a Saudi citizen, filed a case calling for urgent action to get the custody of the child who traveled with his grandfather to live with his father in the US.

The mother told Al-Watan daily that she got divorced from her husband three years ago. "I raised the issue to get custody of my child who is four years old and last year I got the custody ruling from the family court in Jeddah. But I was surprised by his disappearance and I learned from relatives that my son has traveled to America with his grandfather to stay with his father there. I filed the suit before the court where I demanded the implementation of the custody ruling," said the mother.
