JEDDAH — To highlight the talent and creativity of young fashion designers noted businesswoman Maha Fitaihi launched a forum of fashion and creativity.
The Forum, which consists of, a group of seven fashion designers, was inaugurated at the Aarasna 2016, which concluded in Jeddah recently.
Speaking on the occasion, group member Amal Anqawi thanked Fitaihi for taking the initiative and said, “This initiative will encourage new talent towards creativity and innovation.”
She said that the goal of the launch of the forum is to cooperate with domestic and international designers and host a meeting of a group of Saudi female designers in a special wing of the Aarasna 2016 gallery.
This special wing will present the most beautiful new designs to draw the attention of locals and international customers along with it will develop a spirit of competition and cooperation so as to contribute to upgrading of this area.
The Forum members are Amal Anqawi, Basina Biljoun, Latfia Momina, Lubna Shaban, Sabiha Afgani, Misa Novilati and Rana Reri.
The Forum members stressed their enthusiasm on the importance of the ability of Saudi Fashion designers’ posts the “Aarasna 2016”. According to them “The designer traditional costumes that reflect the originality of Hijaz and different regions of the Kingdom can access the global market through local business and heritage.”
Amal pointed out a need to provide training opportunities to contribute to the rehabilitation “Training workshops of workers in this sector will help to develop and refine their skills and creativity.” said Amal.
The 17th Saudi International Exhibition for weddings “Aarasna 2016” gained a great reputation on the weddings map. Aarasna was the largest women’s specialized event in the fields of weddings and happy occasions with the participation of the largest Saudi companies along with elite women in the community and investors in the field of weddings and support services.
